Advo Health shows compassion in action through volunteering
At Advo Health, we are proud to offer colleagues with more than two years of continuous service one paid charity day each year. This is dedicated time for volunteering, taking part in a charity event or supporting a cause that matters personally.
Whether someone chooses to get involved in a local project, take part in a national fundraising initiative or support a company-backed event, the Charity Day benefit gives colleagues the opportunity to give back in a meaningful and personal way.
Advo Health compassion in action is not just something we talk about; it is something we are proud to live out together. As the days get colder and darker it felt like the perfect moment to share an example of how colleagues have used this benefit to make a real difference.
Earlier this year, colleagues from Advo Health’s Exeter cluster, covering Exeter, Torquay, Barnstaple and Taunton, used their Charity Day benefit to take part in a beach clean at Exmouth Beach. They joined the Million Mile Clean initiative in support of Surfers Against Sewage.
Eleven team members rolled up their sleeves to collect litter, protect marine life and enjoy a day of teamwork and purpose.
“It was great to do something meaningful as a team while making a positive impact on our local environment,” said Ashton Cockle, Operations Manager (Advo West), who helped organise the day.
Stories like this highlight what sits at the heart of Advo Health. Our culture is built on community, connection and compassion, and the Charity Day benefit is one of the ways we support colleagues in putting those values into action.
