Your day one checklist
Your day one checklist
The first day jitters is something we all experience in life, even from a young age, and it doesn’t always get easier as you get older!
Although your job won’t change, we appreciate that joining Advo is like starting a new job, so we want to ensure we give you a warm welcome and provide you with everything you need to set you up for success for your career at Advo.
Within the ‘wrap-up’ letter, your induction location has been confirmed. If you are at an assessment centre on day one, over the next week we will be sharing more information about the locations, especially to support those of you who have not been to these sites before.
If you are remote, we will take care of the Teams links and invites, and you can access this via your Chromebook or Advo laptop.
Hopefully by now you will have heard of the ‘safe start principles’, but if not, this basically means that there is dedicated time assigned to ensuring everyone has the space to get to know their new teams, employer and prepare for the HAAS contract delivery. There will be no assessment during the first two days, Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 September.
What time do I arrive?
We would recommend arriving around 9am to ensure you are settled in, and if you are remote, check that you can access your Chromebook and speak to IT if you have any issues.
We will start the welcome call at 10am for all colleagues, remote or in-person.
What to bring
Please ensure you bring along your Advo device (Chromebook or laptop) and your DWP laptop. If you are remote, you will also need both devices, but the Advo device will be your main device during induction.
Don’t forget that we will be conducting compliance checks. You can read more about what you need to do and what you need to bring in this article by clicking here.
Water bottle and lunch box! Don’t forget to stay hydrated, and bring some snacks or lunch in your new Advo merch.
What will day one include
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to speak to your team, get to know your manager, meet the wider support teams like HR and Comms, and find out more about our ways of working.
We will provide you with a checklist so you can keep track of your induction tasks and this will be broken down by a timeline.
Across both days, there will be ‘pick n mix’ activities to ensure the induction is tailored to YOU and to ensure you get the most out of your day.
If you have any questions, please get in touch via email at fasqueries@advohealth.co.uk.
We are really looking forward to meeting you!
