Working as a Disability Assessor

Working as a
Disability Assessor

Working as a Disability Assessor for Advo Health is perfect for compassionate and ambitious healthcare professionals who are contemplating a change of pace and want to challenge themselves in a rewarding new role.

A Disability Assessor is responsible for carrying out holistic, face-to-face or virtual assessments with individuals who have a varied range of physical and/or mental health disabilities, seeking to receive the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit scheme.

After conducting assessments, you will write up your findings in a report that will be submitted to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), who then make the final decision on a person’s claim.

Your skills as a healthcare professional will play a crucial role in the disability assessment process – a service that touches the lives of millions of people in the UK.

You will work independently most of the time, but you will never feel alone. We pride ourselves on team spirit and our commitment to learning, development and supporting our people.

We believe in working hard, but not at the expense of our personal lives. Working as a Disability Assessor means you will never have to work anti-social hours or shift patterns.
