Two years of Advo Health

This April we celebrate two years of being Advo Health and reflect on our achievements as the largest subcontractor in Government health assessments.

Back in 2018, a key part of our business strategy was to grow in the Government Services network. To help support this growth we explored the opportunity of creating a new brand to enable us to keep thriving and building on what we had already achieved.

We concluded that creating a new brand would better represent the work our Disability Assessors carry out. It would also enable us to have a dedicated space internally which would include our own email addresses, newsletter and intranet area.

The rebrand would also allow us to promote our work within Government Services externally through a new website and dedicated social media outlets that would carry our own brand and logo.

Notable achievements include successfully completing over 150,000 assessments and achieving an average claimant satisfaction rate of 95%.

We have overcome the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in us having to adapt our services to be in line with government regulations. This included introducing telephone and video assessments to claimants and offering remote work to our employees which has continued to be in place post-pandemic.

Our clinical network has grown by 45% in the last two years and we have seen many employees advance into new roles. Also, to aid our employees training we launched ‘The Approval Academy’, which is a support system for new starters to help guide them through the stages of gaining approval for a Disability Assessor.

Since becoming Advo Health, the business has developed a dynamic and united culture across its dispersed workforce of employees, by amplifying employee voices and engaging staff in important conversations around diversity, equity and inclusion, raising over £2,500 for our charity partner Macmillan, and hosting well-attended company events both in-person and online.

Head of Government Services, Dan Butler, said: “Twenty-four months on and Advo Health continues to be a success. We continue to be one the largest providers of Government health assessments, which we provide on behalf of the Independent Assessment Services (IAS), meaning we are very well placed to keep growing in this market.

“We have continually achieved the highest clinical standard at a time when we are growing and completing high levels of assessments. This is a testament to the work that is undertaken by all departments at Advo Health and we look forward to delivering on our goals in the future.”
